Srinagar: Awami Ittihad Party (AIP) expressed anger and displeasure over the disengagement of helpers to supervisors by the authorities on Friday in Jammu and Kashmir.
The party spokesperson Firdous Baba said. “Snatching the employment of over 918 helpers to supervisors in Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Scheme of Social Welfare Department is an anti-people decision, as instead of providing employment, the current government is snatching the livelihood of those who have been serving the government for years together.”
“These employees are the people who are really performing their duties on the ground and are responsible for making numerous government schemes at doorsteps, be providing vaccination to the people of far-flung areas or educating the downtrodden women folk about their rights and making them aware of the beneficial schemes of the government,” he said.
Baba said when there was already “rising the graph of unemployment” in Jammu and Kashmir as educated youth struggle and lack job-creation policy, there is no justification for making such a big number unemployed.
The spokesperson said, “the government had claimed that jobs and prosperity to the region is its core agenda The reality is altogether different on the ground.”
The spokesperson urges the LG government to revoke the order immediately so that future of hundreds of families is secured.
