A woman had sustained critical injuries after being attacked by a wild bear in our village. We appeal authorities to equip Wild Life Team with modern technology so that they can save people from the attacks of wild animals,” Locals said.
The bear and her two cubs were captured and shifted to safer place. They will be either released in a forest area or shifted to Dachigam National Park,” In charge Wild Life Department South Zone told. He admitted that there is lack of manpower and technology in the department.
Pertinently, there is only one control room established by Wild Life Department for the people. This Control Room is located in Kulgam that serves South Kashmir’s Anantnag district as well.
