SRINAGAR: Suspected militants attacked police party, killed policeman among four others in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Saturday, officials said.

An official as quoted by local daily said that gunmen attacked cops who were clearing traffic on the Srinagar-Jammu highway at Mir Bazar area of the district.

He said that four persons were killed in the attack. One of them was a cop while three others were yet to be identified. Two civilians and a cop have also been injured in the attack. The condition of the injured cop is stated to be critical.
