Working on 20 fresh ideas, says Qayoom

Anantnag : A 22-year-old youth from Dooru area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district has made his entire locality proud after he came up with five innovations including rice cleaner and a winnowing machine.
The youth, who is pursuing Bachelor of Technology is now working on twenty more innovations, which are likely going to help the people in the society, he said.
Naik Qayoom, son of Abdul Ahad Naik of Kreeri village in Dooru belt of Anantnag told KNO that since his childhood, he has come up with five innovations so far and is working on twenty more ideas.
He said that at the age of 12, he invented rice cleaner and later a winnowing machine, which was creating wind energy and was helping to clear light particles from various grains, cereals and pulses.
“Later, I came with an Envocleaner, which is an air-purifier and cleans Carbon Dioxide, Carbon Monoxide and Methane by absorbing them,” he said, adding that the Envocleaner was also converting Carbon Dioxide into powder, which can be used for black pants,” he said.
“I got a training at IIT Delhi about Roberts and recently I came up with new innovation i.e. Automatic Robert, which is helping us to give clear pictures of buildings during fire fighting,” he said, adding that it has unlimited range and can even be operated from Delhi while being used in Kashmir.
The recent among all innovations is a Sowing machine with the help of his teacher Saad Parvaiz from NIT Srinagar, who also approved it and also provided some amount to work on this innovation, he said.
Naik who is 5th Semester B Tech student at Saint Andrew’s College Delhi said that there are around 2000 students who have passion for innovations and are in contact with him. “I have also opened up a training centre in my locality namely Shining Star Innovative Club,” he said, adding that he has gone through a very tough time due to financial issues as he is the lone brother of six sisters.
The son of a labourer further stated that he has received around 20 awards so far for his innovations and “If I will get a proper platform, I will come up with new innovations and will give 20 new innovators per year who will serve society.”
