7 more deaths take death toll to 1,549; recovery rate over 93 percent in UT

Srinagar : Jammu and Kashmir Tuesday recorded 07 Covid-19 related deaths taking the death toll to 1,549 in the Union Territory while 492 positive cases were reported pushing the J&K tally very close one lakh mark.
Of the exact number of 99,844 cases, 60,176 are from Kashmir and 39,668 from Jammu division. Officials told that among 492 new cases, 286 belong to Kashmir division while as 206 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 60,176 including 55,259 recoveries and 1,029 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 39,668 including 37,621 recoveries and 520 deaths.
The officials said that total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 5,415 including 3,888 from Kashmir division and 1,527 from Jammu division.
With 635 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 92,880 which is 93.02 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 131 from Srinagar, 28 from Baramulla, 38 from Budgam, 09 from Pulwama, 14 from Kupwara, 18 from Anantnag, 10 from Bandipora, 36 from Ganderbal, 01 from Kulgam and 01 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 206 from Jammu division include 93 from Jammu, 05 from Rajouri, 24 from Udhampur, 12 from Doda, 14 from Kuthua, 05 from Poonch, 11 from Samba, 28 from Kishtiwar, 08 from Ramban and 06 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Notably, in the last 24 hours seven persons, who were tested positive for COVID-19 have died which include six from Kashmir division and one from Jammu division.
As per media bulletin, patients who have died include two each from Srinagar and Bandipora and one each from Baramulla and Pulwama in Kashmir division while one death from Jammu division includes one from Jammu district.
As per officials figures, 20,705 positive cases including 383 deaths and 18,917 recoveries are from Srinagar, 6,554 including 151 deaths and 5,593 recoveries are from Baramulla, 6,314 including 5,918 recoveries and 95 deaths are from Budgam, 4,793 including 4,565 recoveries and 84 deaths are from Pulwama, 4,702 including 75 deaths and 4,203 recoveries are from Kupwara, 4,345 including 4,089 recoveries and 75 deaths are from Anantnag, 4,167 cases including 3,954 and 48 deaths are from Bandipora, 3,803 including 3,484 recoveries and 35 deaths are from Ganderbal, 2,529 including 2,396 recoveries and 48 deaths are from Kulgam and 2,264 including 2,140 recoveries and 35 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 18,562 including 17,669 recoveries and 271 deaths are from Jammu district, 3,274 including 3,139 recoveries and 48 deaths are from Rajouri, 2,887 including 2,658 recoveries and 32 deaths are from Udhampur, 2,742 including 2,594 recoveries and 48 deaths are from Doda, 2,539 including 2,445 recoveries and 33 deaths are from Kuthua, 2,317 including 2,223 recoveries and 22 deaths are from Poonch, 2,236 including 2,140 recoveries and 25 deaths are from Samba, 2,075 including 1,904 recoveries and 15 deaths are from Kishtwar, 1,697 including 1,582 recoveries and 18 deaths are from Ramban and 1,339 including 1,267 recoveries and 08 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin, 698,310 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 15,844 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 5,415 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 634,196 persons have completed surveillance period and 41,306 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 2,529,786 samples are available.
Out of 2,529,786 the number of samples tested negative stands at 2,429,942 while as 99,844 have tested positive, among them 5,415 are active, 92,880 persons have recovered and 1,549 persons have died—(KNO)
