Leh : As per the media bulletin released by the Directorate of Health Services UT Ladakh last night, a total of 82 persons were tested positive for COVID-19. Out of the total positive reports, CMO Leh received 74 positive reports while CMO Kargil received eight positive reports.
With the death of two patients from Covid-19 in Kargil district, the total number of deaths in UT Ladakh has gone up to 63 – 26 in Leh and 37 in Kargil district.
The bulletin further details that 25 patients in Leh and 22 patients in Kargil were discharged yesterday after their negative sample reports were received. With this, the total number of COVID-19 active cases in UT Ladakh has gone up to 1228; 953 in Leh district and 275 in Kargil district. 28 samples were sent to PGIMER Chandigarh for testing by CMO Kargil.
It also reports that 285 passengers were screened at KBR Airport Leh yesterday. While 172 passengers including the drivers and helpers of 116 trucks, tankers and light motor vehicles were screened at Upshi Check Post yesterday. Similarly, nine passengers and 194 drivers and helpers of 230 trucks, tankers and light motor vehicles were screened at the Khaltsi Check Post yesterday.
The bulletin further details that in Leh district total positive cases admitted in Covid Hospital are 46; total positive cases in home isolation are 527; 87 in COVID Care Centre, and 280 in facility Isolation. Similarly, in Kargil district total positive cases admitted in Covid Hospital are four, total positive cases in home isolation are 246, and 25 in COVID Care Centre.
