Bomb squad destroys ‘suspicious object’ in Pattan Hanjiwara

Baramulla: A suspicious object was said to be found in Hanjiwara Pattan area of Baramulla on Saturday morning which was later destroyed by the bomb disposal squad of the army.
Officials said that the road-opening party of army’s 29 RR found a suspicious object at Hanjiwara in Pattan area on Srinagar-Baramulla highway Monday morning. The party reported this to senior officials. Soon after, officials of police, army and other security agencies reached the spot. Later, a team of the army’s bomb disposal squad was called to destroy it.
Locals said that traffic movement on this busy highway was also stopped for some time, but later restored.
