Traffic disrupts after landslide hit Zojila Pass

Ganderbal: Scores of passenger vehicles and trucks carrying essential supplies were stranded on Srinagar-Leh road near Sonmarg after a massive landslide disrupted traffic movement.

An official told KNT that landslide hit Zojila pass on Monday evening and since then a large number of vehicles are stranded while efforts are on to clear the road.

He said men and machinery from Border Roads Organization (BRO) have been pressed into service to get the road cleared for traffic.

Deputy Superintendent of Police, Traffic Department Faheem Ali said that a massive landslide hit Zojila Pass near Captain Mode. (KNT)
