‘Public requested to share information about drug peddlers’

Bandipora : Police arrested a drug peddler in Shadipora Sumbal area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
A police spokesperson told KNT that acting on a reliable information police party from Police Station Sumbal led by Station House Officer Muneeb-ul-Islam arrested Bilal Ahmad Rather of Waskura village of Ganderbal at a check-post at Shadipora Sumbal and recovered 73 Bottles of psychotropic substance Codeine Phosphate from his possession.
In this connection an FIR vide number 143 /2020 under relevant sections of NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Sumbal and investigation set into motion.
Pertinently, some belts of North Kashmir’s Badnipora district have become safe-heavens for drug peddlers.
Police requested general public eneral Public to come forward with any Information regarding drug peddlers in their neighborhood.
“Those found indulging in drug peddling and cultivation of contraband substances will be dealt strictly as per law.” (KNT)
