Kawoosa search operations: Body of suspected militant recovered

Srinagar : Body of drowned suspected militant was recovered by the joint team of government forces on the fifth consecutive day of the search operation launched in Kawoosa village of central Kashmiri’s Budgam district, after forces had exchanged brief gunfire with the suspected militants on Monday.
Official sources told news agency Kashmir Dot Com – (KDC) that searches continued to nab suspected militants for the fifth consecutive day, which was conducted by Army’s 2 RR, Police, CRPF 176 Battalion and SOG of Jammu and Kashmir police and during the searches the body of drowned suspected militant was recovered from the nalla Sukh Naag.
Earlier, on Monday, after receiving specific inputs about the presence of militants in the area, a joint team of forces had launched a cordon and search operation in the Kawoosa area of Narbal.
“As the joint team approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them, triggering a brief encounter,” source added.
Meanwhile, police sources told news agency KDC that marine commandos, specialized in diving operations continued there duties and finally they have succeeded in fishing out the body of militant during the ongoing search operation. Now the search operation is suspended on fifth day after dead body was recovered. The identity and group affiliation of the slain militant is being ascertained, they added.(KDC)
