11-year-old Agastya Jaiswal from Hyderabad clears class 12 board exam

Children are the future leaders of the country.  Among large population, there are some who have achieved a lot at an early age, what we as adults can only desire for!Meet Child prodigy Agastya Jaiswal who has recently achieved something which only few can do at his age.

Agastya, an 11-year-old Hyderabad resident has cleared the Class 12 board examination.

Claiming that he is the first person in the state to have passed the examination at such a young age, Agastya’s father Ashwani Kumar said his son cleared the examination with 63 per cent marks.

More on Agastya’s education:

• He is currently studying at St Mary’s Junior College, Yousufguda (Hyderabad)

• Agastya recently appeared for the Telangana TS SSC Board Exam 2017

• In 2015, he cleared the SSC examination (Class 10) at the age of nine

As reported by PTI, Agastya has taken prior permission from Telangana Board of Intermediate Education to appear for class 12 examination.

It is said that no such special permission is needed to appear for the intermediate examination.

Family of geniuses:

It seems that genius runs in the family. His sister, 17-year-old Naina, has enrolled in PhD programme.

Moreover, Naina was the first girl from Asia to pass the class 10 board exam at the age of eight and the class 12 exam at 10.

Dreams and desires:

“I want to do my graduation in commerce in the next three years but my ultimate goal is to be a doctor,” Agastya said in a recent HT report.

Here’s what the official said:

An official with the Board of Intermediate Education said the students appearing for the class 12 exam only have to give information related to the subjects, medium of instruction and the second language, but not age.

Furthermore, in the Telangana intermediate exam this year, girls outperformed boys.

A total of 8,90,087 students, including 4,14,213 in the second year and 4,75,874 in the first year appeared for the intermediate examinations.
