SRINAGAR: People Democratic Party (PDP) youth Leader, Tahir Syeed expressed anguish over the viral videos showing security forces beating youth.
In an interaction with a youth delegation, he said that such actions by the security establishment will further alienate the youth of Kashmir adding that such practices has to end to avoid further disconnect in valley.
Syeed said that the party is committed to safeguard the lives of people and prosperity of youth. While commenting on the forces action shown in videos, he said that instead of provocative moves, we should open the channels for the dialogue with alienated youth.
He said forces can have confrontation with the insurgents but not with the masses. He said that the government is keen to address the aspiration of youth.
Syeed further said that the youth of Kashmir should also restrain from violent methods of protesting that not only risks their lives but also dents the image of Kashmiri youth.
He said that the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has always fought for the rights and the aspirations of youth. “It is responsibility of the youth as well to create a conducive atmosphere so that aspiration of youth can be addressed”, he said.
