Srinagar : Nine more patients who were tested positive for COVID-19 died on Wednesday in Kashmir Valley, thus taking the toll of deaths due to Novel Coronavirus in Jammu and Kashmir to 577.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that nine patients who died include a 72-year-old man from Sabdan Budgam, a 60-year-old woman from Peerzoo Srinagar, a 57-year-old man from Buchpora Srinagar, a 43-year-old man from Hawal Srinagar, a 65-year-old man from Tangmarg Baramulla, a 75-year-old woman from Sajad Abad Chattabal Srinagar, a 70-year-old man from Shalteng Srinagar, a 55-year-old woman from Rainawari Srinagar and an 80-year-old man from Tanghdar.
An official from CD hospital Srinagar said that a patient from Sabdan Budgam who was admitted on 17 August and a patient from Peerzoo Srinagar who was admitted on 02 August died on Wednesday.
An official from SKIMS Soura said that a patient from Buchpora who was admitted on 19 August, a patient from Hawal who was admitted on 18 August and a patient from Tangmarg who was admitted on ist August died on Wednesday.
He added that a patient from Tangmarg was tested negative for COVID-19 recently.
An official from SMHS Srinagar said that a patient from Chattabal who was admitted on 11 August, a patient from Shallteng who was admitted on 16 August, a patient from Rainawari who was admitted on 18 August and a patient from Tanghdar admitted on 16 August died on Wednesday.
With nine more deaths, the death toll in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 577, including 536 from Kashmir division and 41 from Jammu division—(KNO)
