Srinagar :  Senior Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and the party’s general secretary organization for J&K unit, Ashok Koul Wednesday said that Chinese aggression in Ladakh is a part of larger conspiracy by “hidden hands” aimed at disintegrating a “fast developing India” and that peace talks will soon resume to de-escalate tensions in the cold desert.

In an exclusive chat with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Koul said that killing of 20 unarmed Indian soldiers in Galwan Valley is an act of frustration on part of Chinese army. “Our soldiers had gone for peaceful negotiations but they were attacked and killed. The act is highly condemnable,” he said.

The BJP leader said that Chinese aggression is a part of larger conspiracy hatched to disintegrate a fast developing country—India. “On one hand, there is Pakistan, and on the other, Nepal. Now there is China now. This is a well-thought out plan to destabilize India. But these countries should note that India is a stable nation, with growing economy and military power and any attempt to disintegrate will backfire,” Koul said.

Asked whether there is a call for boycotting the Chinese products across country, he said not exactly the call but it was a mission rather a dream, announced by the Prime Minister Narendera Modi. “Our prime minister has announced that for becoming self-reliant nation, we must rely on our own produce and products. This means we need not to use Chinese or for that matter products of any other country be that Japan or any other nation,” Koul, who is looking after organizational matters of J&K unit of BJP, told KNO

Asked whether there would be a military response to Chinese action in Galwan Valley,  the BJP leader said that India is a peace loving country but that doesn’t mean “we will compromise on territorial integrity.” “We will not allow China to grab our land in Ladakh.

We will convene meetings with the Chinese authorities and start peace talks and stress that Chinese men should withdraw from Indian Territory peacefully. This will be done,” he said, adding that “if war is thrusted on India, the country is ready to face it and give a befitting reply in that case.”—(KNO)
