‘UT records 2781 total recoveries so far’

Srinagar : The number of COVID-19 cases in Jammu and Kashmir have reached to 5298 as 78 fresh cases including 23 travelers tested positive for the deadly pandemic on Tuesday.
Official sources told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that among 78 new cases, 41 were tested positive at SKIMS Soura, 16 at JVC Bemina, 4 at Army’s Command Hospital Udhampur and rest at other hospitals.
Among 78 new cases, 62 belong to Kashmir division while as 16 are from Jammu division, officials said, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division has reached to 4091 including 2275 recoveries and 56 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division has reached to 1207 including 506 recoveries and 7 deaths
They added that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 2454 including 1760 from Kashmir division and 694 from Jammu division.
Meanwhile, out of 5298 positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir, 2781 cases have recovered which is 52.49 percent of total cases in J&K
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 9 from Kulgam, 4 from Baramulla, 10 each from Srinagar and Anantnag, one from Shopian, 3 from Kupwara, 4 from Bandipora, 14 from Budgam and 7 from from Pulwama in Kashmir division while as 16 from Jammu division include include 7 Samba district, 3 each from Udhampur and Rajouri, 2 from Kuthua and one from Poonch,” officials disclosed.
Dr G H Yatoo Nodal officer for covid-19 at SKIMS said that out of 1590 samples tested at SKIMS virology Lab, 41 were tested positive.
He said that 41 new cases include 11 from Anantnag, 09 from Kulgam, 06 from Srinagar, 04 each from Bandipora and Baramulla, 03 from Kupwara, 02 from Pulwama and one each from Shopian, Srinagar and Budgam.
Dr Reyaz Untoo, Principal JVC Bemina said that out of 524 samples tested at SKIMS Bemina 16 including 14 from Srinagar and 02 from Budgam were found positive.
He said 454 Covid-19 positive patients were admitted at hospital so far among them 347 have been discharged and 103 are still undergoing treatment.
Lt Col Inam Danish Khan from Army’s Command Hospital Udhampur said that 4 from Udhampur were tested positive at the hospital.
Pertinently as per government bulletin 57 were tested positive in J&K till Monday 5 pm, however another bulletin was released later showing 179 were tested positive in J&K till Monday 9 pm
As per officials figures, 643 positive cases including 08 deaths and 422 recoveries are from Kulgam, 525 including 11 deaths and 223 recoveries are from Baramulla, 549 including 14 deaths and 202 recoveries are from Srinagar, 579 including 386 recoveries and 05 deaths are from Anantnag, 558 including 322 recoveries and 06 deaths are from Shopian, 410 including 298 recoveries and 05 deaths are from Kupwara, 246 including 195 recoveries and 01 death are from Bandipora, 259 including 112 recoveries and 04 deaths are from Budgam, 259 including 60 recoveries and 02 deaths are from Pulwama and 63 including 55 recoveries are from Ganderbal.
In Jammu division, 279 including 146 recoveries and 04 deaths are from Jammu district, 199 including 83 recoveries are from Ramban, 168 including 61 recoveries and 01 death are from Udhampur, 162 including 76 recoveries are from Kathua, 105 including 44 recoveries from Poonch, 112 including 35 recoveries are from Samba, 69 including one death and 12 recoveries are from Rajouri, 63 including 29 recoveries and 01 death are from Doda, 27 including 12 recoveries are from Reasi and 23,including 08 recoveries are from Kishtwar.
As per the daily information bulletin, 239,712 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 40,265 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 2454 persons are in hospital isolation while 31 persons are under hospital quarantine.
According to the bulletin, 149,320 persons have completed surveillance period and 47,579 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 276,174 samples are available.
Out of 276,174 the number of samples tested negative stands at 270,876 while as 5298 have been tested positive, among them 2454 are active and 2781 persons have recovered and 63 persons have died—(KNO)
