Ganderbal : A youth has gone missing after a group of six people from Srinagar went for trekking to Gangabal Lake in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Sunday.
An official told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that a group of six youth from Srinagar went for picnic to Naranag and from there decided to go for a trekking to Gangbal lake.
He said that five among them returned back safely on the same day while the other one from Bemina area of Srinagar did not come back and is missing since then.
He identified the missing youth as Hilal Ahmed Dar son of Ghulam Mohiuddin Dar of Bemina Srinagar.
Meanwhile, the family of missing youth has approached the concerned police station in Kangan to help them trace out the missing youth.
A police official from Kangan told KNO that they have already deputed a police team to the spot to trace out the missing youth.
“We are hopeful that we will be able to trace him out soon,” he said—(KNO)
