3rd Module busted in last 9 days, 13 OGWs arrested: Police

Budgam : Budgam Police on Sunday morning claimed to have busted a module of militants affiliated with Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) in Central Kashmir’s Budgam by arresting arrested four persons, who were working as militant Over Ground Workers (OGWs).
Officials told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that that the module was busted by the joint teams of security forces.
“On a credible input, Budgam police along with 53 RR arrested four militant associates identified as Waseem Ganie sin of Abdul Aziz Ganie resident of Hardulatina Beerwah and Faruk Ahmad Dar son of Muhammad Sultan Dar, Mohd Yasin son of Bashir Ahmad and Azharudin Mir son of Ali Muhammad Mir all residents of Kandoora Beerwah.”
Arms, ammunition and other incriminating material has been recovered from their possession. As per the police records, they were involved in providing logistic support and shelter to the active militants of LeT operating in the area.
A case under relevant sections of law stands registered in Police Station Beerwah and further investigation is in progress, police said.
Pertinent to mention that, on May 16 LeT militant module was busted in Arizal Budgam and 05 Militant associates were arrested at that time and on 20 may a module was busted at Magam and 04 LeT associates were arrested at that time—(KNO)
