Srinagar: Four militants were killed in separate encounters on Saturday. One of the gunfights took place in Pulwama district and another in Kupwara district which is underway.
Sources told Kashmir News Bureau that two militants have been killed in the ongoing encounter at the Chanjmullah area of Handwara in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district.However, bodies of the militants have not been recovered yet.
Search operation is going on and additional security forces have been rushed to the spot to foil attempts of the hiding militants to escape from there.
Another encounter took place in Dangerpora Village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama where two militants were killed.
According to Kashmir News Bureau reports, on a specific information, Army along with JK Police and crpf launched a massive search operation in Dangerpora Village of Pulwama district, which triggered an Encounter.
Meanwhile, at least 27 militants and two of their associates have been killed in nearly a dozen operations. (KNB)
