SDM Pattan assures strict action against the gas agencies and/or persons involved in the scam

Protests continued against various gas agencies of Pattan Baramulla regarding issuing fake PM Ujwala Yojna gas connections and crediting subsidies to their loved ones by sideling the deserving beneficiaries belonging to below the poverty line families.
In an ongoing protest against these gas agencies today people from KP Payeen including men and women belonging to below the poverty level families protested against gas agencies of Pattan jurisdiction.
As per protesters more than 2000 connections have been issued on application forms which they had submitted but unfortunately subsidies of the same connections are not being credited to their accounts, instead of that they are transferring the same to the accounts of their relatives and loved ones.
They further claimed that from last few years they have been wandering the offices of the respective gas agencies for the Ujala Yojana gas connections’ related benifits but have always been denied.
Moreover, Yesterday Deputy Surpanch Mohd Yaseen of KP Payeen also visited one of the concerned gas agency regarding new gas connection under PM Ujala Yojana but the agency denied to issue citing the reason that connection on his name has already been issued under the said scheme but the fact is that he has never received the one. After that he paid an amount of Rs.1300/- to get new connection under the same scheme which is totally open loot and injustice with the subscribers.
SDM Pattan while talking to media assured strict action against the agencies and/or persons who will be found involved in this scam. He further assured that the top priority is utilize the government sponsored schemes in a transparent and lawful manner.
