‘Medical supplies available in adequate quantities in JK’: Health Ministry

Srinagar : The Union Health Ministry Friday asserted that there is no dearth of medical equipment in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and steps have been taken to ensure all supplies are in place to fight COVID-19 pandemic.
“As per the information available with us, there is ample stock of medical equipments in union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) kits, N95 masks, Isolation beds are available in adequate quantities,” Rajev Vadhavan, a top officials in Union health Ministry told news agency KINS over phone from New Delhi.
He said that the Union health secretary and other top officials are in continuous touch with Jammu and Kashmir administration especially the Financial Commissioner, Health & Medical Education, Atal Dulloo regarding the supplies and other essential items to fight with the covid-19.
It is to mention here that the Jammu and Kashmir Health and Medical Education (H&ME) Department had also claimed that there was no dearth of medical equipment in Jammu and Kashmir to tackle the threat of coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
“There is absolutely no dearth of logistics and equipment and sufficient buffer stock of PPE, Masks and other protection gear is available both at Srinagar and Jammu” the department had said. (KINS)
