Docs at SDH Charari Sharief frame ‘contingency plan’ to combat COVID-19

Srinagar : In an effort to combat COVID-19, doctors at Sub District Hospital Charari Sharief have framed a contingency play how to deal with the crisis situation.
The plan has been framed by a senior consultant of the hospital.
As there is no specific treatment of this disease so far, the contingency plan stresses that civil administration has to education people about social distancing.
It also stresses for wash hand, gargle with warm water and nasal cleaning, wearing of face mask, sanitisation and proper diet.
It also calls for educating people about disadvantages of congregational prayers and other social gatherings.
According to the plan a copy of which lies with Kashmir Indepth News Service(KINS), COVID-19 patient could disseminate it to a family member, relative, friend, colleague, or any person in any gathering.
It has been framed in view of increasing number of coronavirus cases in Kashmir.
It has defined the role of hospital administration in dealing with these crises.
“Take every patient as positive because of lack of testing facilities, stop OPDs, avoid procedures such as routine laparoscopy, endoscopy bronchoscopy. Arrange emergency staff with personal protection equipments.  Arrange a pool of 15 doctors, 15 medical assistants, 15 nurses, 15 nursing orderlies, 15 sweepers, and 15 gatekeepers with proper protection with COVID patients,” it says.
According to officials various hospitals have also framed their contingency plan to deal with crisis.(KINS)
