Pulwama : Darul-Uloom Shah-e-Hamdan in Khachir Mohalla area of Tral in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district was gutted in fire incident during night.
An official told wire service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that fire broke out from the main building of religious institution in dead of night and in no time, it engulfed the whole building.
A police party and Fire and Emergency Services department rushed to the spot and launched rescue operation, he said, adding that no one was injured in the incident.
Students and teachers were rescued and shifted to safer places, however their belongings besides Library, Laboratory and other stationary items got completely damaged in the incident, he added.
Meanwhile, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Tral Shabir Ahmad Raina visited the spot today morning and assured head of the institution of compensation and time bound investigation about the incident —(KNO)
