3 women among 8 injured in Handwara mishap

Handwara: At least eight persons including three women were injured in a road accident that took place in Bhagatpora area of Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

According to wire service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), officials said that the accident occurred when an Alto Car bearing registration number JK09-1758 hit a horse-cart in Bhagatpora area of Handwara.

They said that eight persons including three women were injured in the mishap, adding that all the injured were evacuated to District hospital for treatment where the condition of all injured persons is stated to be stable.

Officials identified the injured as Alto driver Muzamil Ahmad Sheikh, horse-cart owner Sanuallah Bhat, Bilal Ahmad Sheikh, Dilawar Ahmad Sheikh, Azhar Ahmad, Meema Begum, Zoona Begum, Amina Begum and Nazir Ahmad Shah.

Meanwhile, a police official said that they have taken cognizance of the incident—(KNO)
