“Will announce name of political party by 7 or 8th March”
Srinagar: Former PDP leader Syed Altaf Bukhari led group is all set to launch new party by March 7 or 8 after party’s six-member constitutional committee has formulated draft constitution for the party.
Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), constitutional committee head Dilwar Mir said the committee will present the draft of the constitution to the core committee which is meeting on 6th of this month.
He added that after thorough deliberation with all like-minded people, the group prepared constitution for upcoming political outfit.
Earlier Bukhari led group constituted six-member committee which includes Mohammad Dilawar Mir, Ghulam Hassan Mir, Javed Hussain Beig, Raja Manzoor, Rafi Mir and Qamar Chowdhary to prepare the constitutional draft of the party.
He added that by March 7 or 8 they will formally announce the name of new political outfit in Jammu and Kashmir which will represent people of J&K without any discrimination.
Another core member of the group when asked whether they are in touch with senior leader Muzaffar Hussain Beg, he said, “we are not in touch with him.”
However he maintained that members are in touch with like-minded people across Jammu and Kashmir.
It is pertinent to mention that former PDP leader Bukhari led group had met several delegation including foreign envoys who back to back visited J&K to know first-hand information after August, 5 2019 when New Delhi scrapped Article 370 and bifurcate the erstwhile state into two union territories.
