Shopian encounter update: Two militants killed

Shopian: Two militants have been killed in an ongoing encounter between government forces and militants in Bonbazar area of Shopian, officials told KNO.

A senior police official said that a joint team of Army and SOG Shopian launched a cordon and search operation in Bonbazar area of shopian after having credible inputs about the presence of some militants in the area on Friday evening.

After night long search Operation, contact with militants was established on Saturday morning, he said.

During exchange of fire, two militants were killed, he said adding that the identity and identification of Militants is being ascertained.(KNO)
