Residents of Hawal village of Pulwama stages protest against water crisis

SRINAGAR: The residents of Hawal village of Pulwama on Tuesday staged protest demonstrations against the prevailing water crisis in the village.

Eyewitness told PTK hundreds of men and women, while blocking the Pulwama – Shopian highway for more than two hours, staged protests demonstrations and raised slogans against the Public Health Engineering department authorities.

They demanded that authorities must take measures to end the water shortage faced by locals for the past several days.

They accused that the government has turned blind eye towards their plight.

Meanwhile, the residents of Hawal, Pulwama also urged the authorities to restore the water supply in the area. (PTK)
