SRINAGAR: A street vendor’s sons had qualified NEET 2019 and have been selected for counseling for MBBS here in government Medical College Srinagar.
Adil Hassan Hajam a resident of Palhallan,once the most volatile village of North Kashmir Baramulla District who had qualified recently NEET Exams with 539 points.
Adil started his education from Baitul Mukaram Yateem Khaana Palhallan up to 6th then went for higher education to Alnoor Academy Palhallan and then Government boys’ higher secondary school Nihalpora.
“I had never thought that my son will score a good mark rank in NEET exams but with mercy of Allah and his hard work paid him back” said his father Ghulam Hassan.
“I don’t have sufficient money. I sell potato snacks(Aalu Munj) on a roadside cart in my own village till late evening to feed my childrens, and he always helps me whenever he was free” he adds.
“I was optimistic that i will be also among the selected students, and the dream become the true that I got selected.
It was not easy for me, my family background was not so good, many times i wept alone in four walls of my study room during the dire need of money, then i would eat nothing and my lips would parch” said Adil Ahmad.
On 5th June, I vividly remember the hurtful-congratulation telephone calls from dears, I felt happy inside and distributed joy at home when i got selected in NEET exams 2019 he adds.
“Many times my poor family couldn’t help me financially, but i had a fire in my belly to become a doctor since childhood. Sometimes, i would in imaginations as ‘Can i qualify the exam for being a doctor or not’ and many times i would feel dejected overlooking the poor conditions back my home. But after my handwork consistency, Passion and the prayers of my parents were got answered after my selection in NEET 2019” Adil said with a bit of smile on his face.
He said, “From childhood i wanted to become a doctor and after completing the 12th exams i started preparing for NEET exams, it was not easy, the competition was really stiff but i put the thought to qualify the exams in my mind and i succeeded with good points”.
“During the preparation i would forgot what sleep is and would burn my midnight oil to become the doctor, in the process i fell sick many times but i was able to crack the NEET Exams. Even i didn’t celebrate on Eid Days and remains always engaged with books during the preparation period”, he said.
Adil says in a motivational tune, “When you have a big dream you need immense patience, Perseverance and unflinching passion”.
On this earth everyone has his own personal problems which demotivated him/her every time, to face and to get through is the only way to succeed, always learn to fight and don’t give up Adil added. (PTK)
