Budgam : A militant has been killed in an encounter with government forces in predawn gunfight in Chadoora area of Budgam district.
Police sources told KNO that the body of the militant has been recovered from the site of encounter however identification and affiliation was being ascertained.
An eyewitness told KNO that massive protests erupted near the gunfight site soon after the mews about killing of a mili spread in the area.
“The government forces resorted to tear smoke shelling which triggered massive clashes between youth and gover forces,” an eyewitness told KNO. This is the second encounter within three days in district Budgam.
Meanwhile as a precautionary measures internet services have been snapped in Budgam district. (KNO)
