SRINAGAR: On the International Day against Drug abuse, renowned socio political activist and TV Debater Inam Un Nabi urged collective action to end menace of drug addiction in Kashmir which is ruining lives of thousands of youth in Kashmir.
Inam observed ” The menace of Drug addiction has gone out of hand. The society of Kashmir along with the law enforcement agencies need to act together to end the vice of drug addiction. On every Friday the religious preachers need to talk against drug menace. Every survey and statistic suggests that situation with reference to drug abuse menace in Kashmir is worrisome. “
Inam stressed that he has already urged providing alternate means of cultivating incentives to farmers so that they do not produce drug menace like poppy.
On this Global Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking let us take honest pledge to guide our youth to a better future without drugs.
They need our care, support not punishments. All the concerned voices need to engage in deliberations to end the menace of drug abuse once forever. (PTK)
