South Kashmir : Gunfight rages in kokernag forests

Kokernag : A gunfight has started between government forces and militants in forests of Kokernag area of Anantnag district.

An official told KNO that on specific inputs about the presence of militants in forests of Kachwan area of Kokernag in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district joint team of forces including 19 RR launched search operation in the area.

On intensifying search operation towards suspected spot, hiding militants fired upon forces triggered encounter, he said

As per soucres two to three militants are believed to be trapped.(KNO)
