SRINAGAR : Hours after Ravi Shankar Prasad slammed Rahul Gandhi’s tweet for celebrating after China opposed ban on Masood Azhar, National Conference (NC) leader Omar Abdullah said if anyone is giving Pakistan a reason to celebrate, it is not the Congress president.

Asking the Union minister to look closer to home, Omar Abdullah said, Your government gave Pakistan a small victory when you postponed the Anantnag bypoll in 2017 and a big victory now that you have failed to conduct assembly elections.

The former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister also hit out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said, The PM surrendered to China on Azhar and surrendered to Pakistan and its proxies by delaying elections in J&K.

How can the BJP claim to have been tough on internal security and tough against terror? Abdullah asked.

Earlier in the day, Rahul Gandhi took to Twitter where he said that weak Modi is scared of Xi. In response, Ravi Shankar Prasad slammed Rahul Gandhi on China opposing the move to ban Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar.

“Rahul Gandhi, you can’t decide foreign policy through Twitter. The foreign diplomacy is a serious issue which cannot be determined through tweeting,” Ravi Shankar Prasad had said. (PTK)
