Bandipora : Police have arrested burglars and recovered gold and cash from their possession in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
SSP Bandipora Rahul Malik said that last month one Syed Mohammad Shah of Sultanpora Nowgam approached with a complaint that during the intervening night of 28/29 January some unknown persons barged into his house and have stolen Golden Ornaments worth more than Rupees 3 lakh fifty thousand.
On this information, case FIR no. 11/2019 under relevant sections was registered in PS Sumbal and investigation was set into motion.. During initial initial investigation various suspects were brought into questioning.
One suspect namely Sarwar Ali of Hygam was also brought on questioning and during interrogation the suspect confessed that he along with other accomplices committed this crime. On the disclosure of suspect the stolen Golden ornaments including necklace, rings, bangles, were recovered. “Subsequently the other accused involved in the commission of crime were also arrested.”(CNS)
