Governor Satya Pal Malik on Monday paid homage to Dy. S.P. Aman Thakur who was killed yesterday in a gunfight with the militants in Turigam village of district Kulgam.

Governor laid floral wreath on the mortal remains of Dy. S.P. Thakur in a wreath laying ceremony held at the District Police Lines in Jammu today, said a Raj Bhavan spokesman.

Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union MoS; Nirmal Kumar Singh, Speaker Legislative Assembly, Advisors to Governor; various senior civil and Police officers and Political leaders were present on the occasion to pay their respect to the slain police officer, he said.
