Srinagar : With an aim to listen to the grievances of people and taking on spot assessment of situation emerging due to snowfall in upper part of Chararsharif constituency , PDP leader and Provincial President Youth Wing Engineer Nazir Ahmad Yatoo said that there is dearth of snow cutting machines in Budgam district with the result snow clearance in several areas of district especially in Chararsharif has not been undertaken by authorities.
He added that Budgam district has mere 13 snow cutting machines available while as there is need of at least 30
He said that snow clearance by JCB and Tractors is destroying the macadam of roads and this should be avoided . Furthermore, Nazir during his visit on Friday met large number of people in Kanidajan and adjacent villages . He also expressed shock over lack of electricity and water supply in the area especially aftermath of recent snowfall . Engineer Nazir Yatoo appealed Divisional Commissioner and DC Budgam for their personal intervention
