BANDIPORA : Alleging army for thrashing locals, residents of Saderkoot Payeen village in district Bandipora stages protests on Monday.
Protesting locals including men and women alleged that army has resort to “highhandedness” in the area as they allegedly beat nine persons without any provocation. The protesters blocked Bandipora-Srinagar Road amid anti-army slogans.
Locals alleged that the army has leashed reign of terror, demanding action against the erring soldiers. Reports added that, the army reached the spot latter to pacify the protesters.
