Srinagar : Senior National Conference (NC) leader and former law minister Mir Saifullah on Saturday said the civilian killings have been up since the Governor S P Malik took charge.
“It seems the new governor is in Kashmir to wipe out the civilian population,” Mir said while denouncing the civilian killings in south Kashmir.
Mir said during his last meeting with Malik, “I told him that you seem to be working more against civilians than militants.”
“The governor assured us that the civilian killings will no more take place, nobody’s house would be burnt or raised down through blasts, but unfortunately nothing as such happened,” he said.
The former minister urged the Governor to put an end to this bloodshed which has become a routine in Kashmir. (GNS)
