SOPORE: Clashes erupts after Friday prayers in Sopore town of North Kashmir’s Baramulla District soon after youth assembled near old Jamia Masjid area and started shouting pro-freedom slogans, reports said.
Reports said that the youth resorts to stone pelting on the deployment of forces who in turn retaliation bursts tear gas shells to disperse the protesters. However no reports of injuries have been received in the clash.
Meanwhile the town witnessed a partial shutdown as the business establishments were closed besides the traffic was also affected.
However a head of 33th death anniversary of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Mohammad Maqbool Bhat, who was hanged in February, 11, 1984, restrictions are put in place to thwart any untoward incident.
