Since 6 months, residents of Tral Village awaits installation of electricity transformer

SRINAGAR: People stumble on the doors of officials and then get their demand fulfilled, but even after more than six months of delivery of an electric transformer to increase the present low voltage supply to sheikh Mohalla and Ahanger Mohalla of Dar Ganie Gund Village of Tral sub -district, the Power Development Department (PDD) employees have failed to install the transformer.

The locals of village Dar Ganie Gund had managed a 100 KV transformer  from MLA’s Constituency Development Fund (CDF) meant for Ziyarat Sharif and other two Mohalla of the same village but the same has not been pressed into service yet.

“The transformer was allotted to our village six months ago under MLA Funds ,Three months past the transformer was installed which is meant for Ziyarat Sharif and other Two Mohalla of the same village, But the PDD employees Failed to  press the same transformer into service ,which is adding our difficulties “,Said Delegation of sheikh Mohalla of Dar Ganie Gund.

“We are losing our creative time , we are unable study in these chilly winter and dark like curfewed nights without electricity, we students are the most victims of this negligence ” ,said group of students of the village.

“As the transfer is meant for Ziyarat Sharief also the devotees who are coming here for night prayers suffers most”, said members of local Auqaf committee.

Harminder singh, junior Engineer (JE) PDD Tral, when contacted regarding this concern, said That people there are not allowing the route for HT line .We tried to reconcile different people of two sections of  village but they are not objecting  for laying a line . (PTK)
