Indian forces must stop using Kashmiri Children as Cannon Fodder: Sehrai

SRINAGAR:Chairman Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Mohd Ashraf Sehrai strongly condemned the targetting 20-month-old girl Hiba Nisar hit in eye by pellet in Shopian,might lose sight.

“What was her fault?”, Asked Sehrai, She is too young to understand, what has happened to her is outrageous and shameful act of state terrorism.”Kashmir children have suffered disproportionately as a result of the Indian Occupation. Anyone who truly cares about children in Kashmir particularly UNICEF should insist that India immediately stop using children as cannon fodder in its conflict with Kashmir,” Sehrai said.

Chairman Sehrai , in his statement said,India implements a deliberate policy to terrorise Kashmiri children.This does give an indication of the terrible impact of the Indian occupation and repeated brutalities on the kashmir, particularly on the children.He seems that Israel is implementing a deliberate policy to terrorize kashmir children to dissuade them from engaging in kashmir resistance as they grow into adulthood.

He said such practices–emphatically illegal under international human rights law–continue unabated.  What has been continuously brought into the public eyes is that such illegal beatings,Bullets ,pellets ,ransacking ,Properties vandalism  and demolishing houses and other acts of violence continue to be aimed not only at adults, but also at kashmir children, some as young as only few months old.

while paying glorious tributes to the slain Khrew Martyr who achieved his martyrdom yesterday, Chairman Sehrai sahib said, the sacrifices can’t be forgotten and the mission of martyr’s would be taken to its logical conclusion.He said the number of martyrs is increasing with each passing day.He said Kashmir issue has entered in a crucial stage and it is need of the hour to show unity and steadfastness at this point in time and safe guard such precious sacrifices.
