SRINAGAR: The residents of Sumlar and Gugarpati villages of Bandipora district on Friday blocked Bandipora-Sumlar road in protest against the R&B department’s failure in repairing their roads.
The villagers hit the roads and blocked it thus halting the traffic movement.
The protesters alleged that they were “facing immense problems due to the department’s negligence for years to repair the road” which connects many villages in the upper reaches.
Meanwhile, reports from Saderkoot Payeen area of the district said that villagers of the area blocked Bandipora-Srinagar road in protest against the PHE department for failing to deliver the regular drinking water supply to the villagers. (PTK)
