Mirwaiz said that it was on the 12th Rabi-ul-Awal that Prophet (SAW) was born and with His birth, He brought a revolution in human thinking, faith, civilization and culture which did not only change the lives of the people but altered the geography of the world.

In his message to the Muslims of the world in general and those living in Jammu Kashmir in particular, the Mirwaiz, according to a statement issued to GNS said, “Muslims instead of doing lip service in expressing their love and devotion for The Last Messenger of Allah need to follow His teachings in letter and spirit and implement them in all sphere of their lives.”

Paying tributes to the Prophet Muhammad (SAW), Mirwaiz said the religion of Islam and Muslims were facing conspiracies today being hatched by imperialists. “Zionist powers can only be countered by following the teachings of Islam, Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and the holy book of Quran in letter and spirit,” he said.

Mirwaiz prayed to Almighty Allah to make all of us better Muslims and love our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW) with more passion and dedication.

Meanwhile, Hurriyat (M) spokesperson strongly condemned the fresh wave of CASOs and nocturnal raids in Tral, Kokernag, Kulgam, Bandipora, Shopian and other areas, arrest of youth, harassment to inmates and vandalising the properties terming it highly undemocratic act.

“Forces laced with unbridled powers are unleashing terror across the length and breadth of Kashmir knowing the fact that they won’t be held accountable for their misdeeds,” he said and said that “forces are now targeting Masjids as seen in Trehgam, Kupwara where even a local Imam of the Masjid was detained for no fault”.

Meanwhile, on the call of JRL, a protest march was taken out at Jamia Masjid after Friday prayers against the “ultimate form of repression” inflicted on the people of Kashmir, especially in the villages.
