Guwahati: Manipur experienced a mild jolt on Wednesday morning at around 4.20 am as an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.1 on the Richter scale hit Chandel. No news of casualty or damage to is received so far.

Before this as well, Manipur’s Chandel district was hit with two other earthquakes in the last few months. One was on July 17 when a minor earthquake measuring 3.2 on the Richter scale was registered and the second was a few days later, which measured a 3.5 magnitude on the Richter scale.
A 4.4 magnitude earthquake too had hit Imphal on June 19.
