SRINAGAR: The class 12th annual examinations, which started a week ago, are witnessing “mass copying” at many centres in Kangan area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district sources confirmed Press Trust of Kashmir.
As per details available with News agency Press Trust of Kashmir, mass copying in 12th class board examinations came to fore from two different examination centers of Ganderbal district of Kangan area. Sources to education department as well as observers appointed on the directions of Deputy Commissioner reported to higher authorities that large scale copying was going on in these centers allegedly with the help of staff on duty.
Sources disclosed that besides report by observers, some locals have also complained to principal of exam canters informing about the level of mass copying in these centres and alleged involvement of staff in this”.
Parents from the area speaking to News agency Press Trust of Kashmir demanded investigation into the matter and also demand shift of these tuition centres in which Boys higher secondary Kangan and Boys higher secondary Gund where mass copying reported.
When contact Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal Dr. Piyush Singla he told News agency Press Trust of Kashmir “We don’t see any kind of Mass copying in the exam centres, he added that Sometimes some people have some personal issues with the centers, but no official have any information about the mass copying in these exams centres”.
He further added that “Parents should inform us if they feel there is any kind of mass copying in the centres.
Meanwhile Chief Education Officer (CEO) Ganderbal Shiekh Gayasuddin speaking to Press Trust of Kashmir said “I was present in both exams centre for almost 30, 30 minutes nothing like this happen in any centres in Ganderbal district”. (PTK)
