Srinagar: A moderate intensity earthquake measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale was felt in parts of Kashmir Valley on Sunday.
The tremor with latitude 36.7 degrees north and longitude 74.5 degrees east was felt around 08:09 am today in several parts of the Valley, Director of Disaster Management Aamir Ali said.
However, no reports of loss to property or life were received
On October 8, 2005, a high intensity earthquake measuring 7.6 on the Richter scale hit the Valley and Pakistan administered Kashmir (Pak) leading to death of a hundred people and causing widespread damage to property.
