Srinagar: The Bhaatiya Janta Party (BJP) today threatened to expose the proxy candidates fielded by two major regional parties National Conference (NC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the upcoming municipal and local body polls.
“We will come out with a list of PDP and NC proxy candidates soon,” BJP’s in-charge for ULB polls, Tariq Khan said while releasing the party’s manifesto here this afternoon.
Trashing the threats issued by militant outfits to the contestants, Khan said that anyone doing something out of box becomes a target in Kashmir.
While releasing the manifesto, Khan said that his party was committed to the development of all the regions of the state. The manifesto among other things, promises hassle free building permissions, beautification of Srinagar city, and restoration and maintenance of Dal Lake.
When asked about the militants threats Khan said that “Everyone gets threats in Kashmir either is political leader, business man, any rich person who have money also get threats”. He said that nothing will happen by this”. (PTK)
