Hurriyat (G) activist shot dead in Sopore

SRINAGAR: Unidentified gunmen on Saturday shot dead a Hurriyat (G) activist in Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Reports said that unidentified gunmen fired upon Hakim-ul-Rehman Sultani, son of Moulvi Nizamudin outside his home in Reshipora Bomai.

He was immediately shifted to Sopore hospital where he was declared dead on arrival. Sultani was affiliated with Hurriyat (G) led by Syed Ali Geelani and was recently released from jail.
