SRINAGAR: A man was killed while he was trying to enter the residence of former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister and National Conference president Farooq Abdullah in Jammu on Saturday.
Reports said a person travelling in a car broke the security barricade and attempted to enter the Bhatindi residence of Abdullah. The forces deployed there shot the person dead, they said. Reports added that in the incident an on-duty officer also received injuries.
“I am aware of the incident that took place at the residence my father & I share in Bhatindi, Jammu. Details are sketchy at the moment. Initial reports suggest an intruder was able to gain entry through the front door & in to the upper lobby of the house,” said Omar Abdullah on Twitter.
