Srinagar: A grenade was found in Tral village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Friday and was later defused by the Bomb Disposal Squad of police.
Reports reaching GNS said that a suspected object was found by some locals at Hyuna village of Tral and in the meantime, a police team reached the spot and recovered it.
Police sources said that it was a grenade “which may probably have been left during an encounter on June 19 last month in which three JeM militants Adil Ahmad of Midoora, Danish Ahmad of Pinglish and a Pakistani national died”.
When contacted, a police officer said that it was an explosive shell which was later damaged without causing any damage. (GNS)
