SRINAGAR: Militants on Wednesday lobbed a grenade on police post Lassipora in Pulwama district of south Kashmir.
SSP Pulwama Mohammad Aslam Choudhary told GNS that militants fired the UBGL grenade on the police post. “The sentry of the post retaliated the fire. However, there was no immediate report of any causality,” SSP said.
The whole area has been cordoned off and searches were launched to nab the attackers. Meanwhile Jaish-e-Mohammad militant outfit claimed responsibility for the grenade attack on Police Post in Lasipora .
“Cadres of JeM attacked police station with shells which exploded inside it at Lassipora. Immediately no reports about causality to enemy were received,” a spokesman of the militant organization told GNS in a statement issued here. (GNS)
