Srinagar: Kin of slain downtown youth Qaiser Amin who was mowed down by paramilitary CRPF gypsy in Nowhatta last week today said they do not need any financial assistance, whether cash or kind and asked people to refrain from paying money in their name.

“We have come to know from various sources and our well-wishers that some people have announced to collect money in the name of Qaiser’s sisters. We also learned that some organizations are claiming that they have adopted the sister duo.

“We want to put it on record that neither we need any financial assistance nor any group has adopted the sisters of Qaiser. People who are spreading such canard have vested interest and want to deceive common masses,” said Qaiser’s uncle Ghulam Muhammad, who has been taking care of the siblings from last 10 years.

The sisters of the slain Qaiser also made it clear that they don’t require any monetary help. “We rejected all monetary offers – be they from resistance camp, non-governmental organizations, individuals or other institutions. Our uncle who has been taking our care since 2008 when we lost our parents is enough for us after Almighty,” they said.

Making an appeal to people, the kin of 21-year old slain youth said: “We appreciate the concern of our people. But we urge them not to pay anything to anyone in our name. All we need is prayers and not money or other perks.” (GNS)
